Visual communication occupies central stage in every human trans action in the present day world. Keeping pace with technological advancements, it evolves, multiplies and even mutilates into various branches. However, there is a gaping dearth of institutions in our state when it comes to the teaching of its multitudinous nuances. The institutions that mushroom across the state offer ready to order and fragmented courses which are superficial by definition. Surprisingly, even our universities are yet to establish a compachenisive programme in this discipline. Mar Chrysostom College has conceived and developed an all-inclusive syllabus for a four year programme of audio visual arts and has convinced the University of Kerala of its significance. The imaginatively conceived programme comprises the most sought after elements such as graphic design, film making, video production, broad casting TV etc. State of the art facilities are provided to develop individual skills in each area with the freedom to be innovative as well as subjective.
The course has been approved by the University and it begins in this academic year. Characteristically of Mar Chrysostom College, a team of efficient teachers and instructors has been assembled to conduct the course. This mix of experience and innovation is capable of establish ing well-defined norms in the scenario of Visual Arts Education.
